Azad, the father of Indian Institute of Technology

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was born in 11 November 1888 at Mecca. He was an Indian scholar and the senior leader on Indian National Congress.
After independence, he became the first Education Minister in Indian Government.
His contribution to establishing the education foundation in India is recognized by celebrating his birthday as National Education Day throughout the country.
Maulana Azad was one of the main organizers of the Dharasana Satyagrah in 1931. He served as Indian National Congress President from 1940 to 1945 when the Quit India rebellion was launched. Maulana Azad sent to prison with many congress leader.
As Indian Education Minister, Maulana Azad oversaw the establishment of a national education system with free primary education. He is also established Indian Institute of Technology and University Grant commission. At 22nd of February in 1958, the founder of Indian Technology Education was no more.
